Several Sided Sid is Andrew J. Reeves, UK-based level designer for the Jedi Academy gaming community.
Sssid has provided several maps to the community over the past six years - built using GtkRadiant - and has been actively involved in a handful of international projects bringing together the talents of various members of the gaming community.
Sssid has also utilised the Doom 3 engine and is able to provide work ranging from pre-visualisation of given concepts to finished and playable environments.
Sssid believes from his experience at providing mapwork for friends and colleagues across the globe that location is unimportant.
Hidden in the barren wastelands of Tatooine, beyond the hills south of Mos Eisley, is a secret fortress town constructed as an academy-ground for hopeful mercenaries working for the Hutts.
Long deserted when Imperial authorities first came to take the spoils of war, the town now serves as a battle arena for hardened warriors from across the Outer Rim.
The walls ring out with the sounds of weaponry and death and only the most attuned fighters will champion the Meanstreets.
If you're familiar with my work, you'll know I tend to drop a can of coke in my maps when finished.
Just a little token of my appreciation for your downloading them and exploring!
I always welcome screenshots from people, as proof you actually found them! Coz some of them are pretty hard to find. They aren't impossible to discover... and they're easier in some maps than in others... perhaps ;/
I thought it would be a good way to force people to properly explore... when I finished Mos Espa Outskirts, it was so vast and detailed that I really didn't want anyone to miss a thing... so I thought searching for something would help people to ensure they saw the whole map.
Not all my maps contain my coke can - the readme files that come with each download will make it quite clear if the can is present in the map - good luck if you try to find them!
The outskirts of Mos Espa Spaceport, haven to smugglers from every corner of the galaxy.
This map is not set in one particular time frame from the saga, but rather a glimpse at life in the port in general, with many vehicles to be explored and places to be found.
This vehicle was created for a movie my son was making and should soon be appearing alongside a complete exterior of the Tantive IV - Rebel Blockade Runner in a brand new map!
This is my interpretation of the interior of the 'Tantive IV' Rebel Blockade Runner, the Corellian Corvette seen at the beginning of A New Hope and also in Revenge Of The Sith. I have tried to include every angle we see on film in both movies and also I have extended past this, to the rest of the ship, to show what it could be like. But watch out - the Imperials have us in their sights!!
Mos Eisley Spaceport by night. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. This map began life with LivingDeadJedi but was stolen by Bothan spies working for the Rebel Alliance. It somehow found its way into the hands of Several Sided Sid, by way of bribery and terrible deception. Though the map sports Sith-J-Cull's Millennium Falcon, unfortunately the ship has been impounded by Imperials so you can't get in! Even if you try... and believe us, we have.
This is THE Jedi Temple as seen in the prequels trilogy... the galactic home of all the Jedi Knights, on Coruscant. Where all training begins, where all home life takes place for those in the Jedi Order.
Well, this is a map I was asked to create for my mate Sith-J-Cull. The idea was that this was to be the Coruscant Apartment of Several Sided Sid. "Nothing too detailed," he said. But I don't do things by halves... so now an entire city is planned.
